Dear Residents,

The Village of Richton Park, along with the IEPA, is hosting a household hazardous waste and electronics collection event that is free of charge.  This event will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 8:00am to 3:00pm at Rich South High School, 5000 Sauk Trail, Richton Park.

Household hazardous waste includes aerosol products, drain cleaners, fluorescent bulbs, household batteries, household cleaners, insecticides, oil based paints, old gasoline, paint removers, pool chemicals, solvents, medicines, and used oils.  LATEX paint will not be accepted as it is not a hazardous material and once dried out, it can be disposed with the regular trash.

Electronics which include cameras, projectors, cell phones, computers, handheld electronic devices, laptops, microwaves, telephones, televisions, and misc. household electronics can also be dropped off.
